Neuroaffirming Counselling

At Bright Feathers, I combine clinical training with lived experience to walk alongside you in your journey. I also offer walk-and-talk sessions in local outdoor spaces such as Redhead Beach and Speers Point Park, blending nature, movement, and meaningful conversation.

Name.Narrate.Navigate (NNN) is a trauma informed and culturally responsive program for youth violence. NNN uses experiential learning, mindful engagement and photography to help young people to name, narrate & navigate the experience of violence. NNN explores drivers of violence including emotional recognition, the experience of invalidation, empathy, power and control, shame, and choice.
Sandplay Therapy
Clients use powerful non-verbal, sensory, and symbolic therapy to facilitate expression of feelings, internal states, and experiences that are difficult to put into words. The essence of the therapy is that clients engage with their own creativity whilst supported through a therapeutic relationship. It promotes neural integration through somatosensory engagement, symbolic expression, mindfulness and relational attunement. The therapy is relational, experiential and sacred.

Well-I-AM
Well-I-AM is an engaging social and emotional wellbeing program designed to equip young women with the knowledge, skills and practical tools to support their emotional, social and physical wellbeing. Across eight interactive sessions, students develop emotional awareness and regulation, build resilience, confidence and self-worth, and learn practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety and everyday challenges.

Well-Beginnings helps children develop the foundations of emotional wellbeing, including emotional awareness and regulation, confidence, resilience, self-worth, and positive relationships. Across five interactive weekly sessions, students explore key social-emotional skills that support them to understand their feelings, communicate positively with others, and build healthy friendship habits.
Bulk billing Comprehensive medical services designed to meet your urgent and non-urgent healthcare needs. From emergency treatment to ongoing support, trust 13CURE for expert care. Home visits can be made Monday - Friday From 4pm Saturdays - From 12pm, Sundays & Public Holidays 24/7. On average we see most of our patients between two to three hours of the booking confirmation, this may vary depending on the booking we receive on the night. Telehealth support available from 11 PM to 7 AM daily for urgent, non-emergency cases.
13YARN is an Aboriginal & Torres strait Islander crisis support line funded by the Australian Government with the support of Lifeline and developed in collaboration with Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia. It is run by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. They co-designed this line using Lifeline expertise with several aboriginal mental health professionals including NACCHO, Black Dog Institute Aboriginal Lived Experience team and the centre for Excellence in suicide Prevention along with input from Torres Strait Islander,remote, regional, and urban peoples with lived experience. We work to explore options for ongoing support and community members will always be reassured they will be connected to another aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person who will understand where they are coming from and value knowing how to listen, without judgement or shame.
Full Stop Australia provides free 24/7 telephone and online counselling. If you have experienced violence or abuse we are here to help you. If you are a non-offending family member or friend of someone who has experienced violence, we can also support you.

Offers Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), as well as Medium Term Accommodation on the Central Coast and Short Term Accommodation for NDIS recipients and those with disabilities.
Aboriginal Health Care Coordination (AHW/AHP)
Care coordination is Aboriginal Health working with Aboriginal people and communities to provide health care while embracing the Aboriginal ways of working. Support to attend follow up appointments, and access to GP, Care planning – holistic health assessment, referrals, follow up care, review. Health coaching – education and information, health literacy, Care navigation following an acute event, Case management.
Legal Services
Fighting for social justice and equity for Aboriginal people, families and communities. Provides culturally relevant services and resources regarding criminal charges, bail, child protection, family law, housing and renting, family violence and safety, fines, deaths in custody, problems at work and the Custody Notification Service.
Hunter Gambling Help Counselling
Hunter Gambling Help Counselling is a specialist service providing Gambling Help Counselling to Aboriginal people in Newcastle. Whilst the focus of the service is supporting Aboriginal people, non-Aboriginal people are also able to use the service and receive counselling support.

Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme
Connects older LGBTQI+ people with community volunteers for peer connections, friendship, and support. Some activities could include chat over a cuppa at home, going to a cafe, listening to music or watching movies together or just being by each other’s side. Aims to reduce social isolation and loneliness, and to build community connection for older LGBTQ+ people.

Aim High Therapy Services has been providing high standard services to people with disabilities of all ages since 2015. We specialise in providing dietetics (nutrition) services in the disability sector with our team of experienced dietitians. We also provide Aged Care Services, with several of our dietitians having extensive experience in servicing RACFs and home-based clients, including menu review and the new Menu and Mealtime Quality Assessments (MMQA).
SoberQ Podcast
